Zakat on Gold in Islam - 7.5 Tola Rule
In Islam, Zakat on gold is 2.5% if you own 7.5 tola (87.48 grams) or more for one lunar year. For example, if you have 10 tola gold worth 2,850,000 PKR, Zakat = 2.5% = 71,250 PKR. If you have below 7.5 tola, no Zakat on gold unless combined with silver and cash above Nisab of 52.5 tola silver (612.36 grams). For silver Nisab, Zakat is calculated if total wealth above silver value ~100,000 to 150,000 PKR. Many Ulema say if you have 7.5 tola gold, you must give Zakat on full gold, not just exceeding.
